2011 Mount Veeder Elevation 1550 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder Napa Valley
APPEARANCE: Deep scarlet
AROMAS: Dark and dense aromas of cassis, and ripe black cherry, intermingle with notes of coca nibs and cardamom. Hints of leather and bay waft out of the glass.
FLAVORS: Rich and well structured yet very integrated tannins. Mouth-filling dark cherry and black currant fruit with dark coffee and vanilla notes. Rich, bold, and delicious mountain expression showing subtle cocoa and bay on the lingering finish.
Grown on these steep, terraced slopes high above the valley floor, Elevation 1550 is a Cabernet Sauvignon blend sourced from the best blocks from all three ranches. The wine is limited production, made big and bold in the tradition of Mount Veeder, and a unique expression of the mountain.
